Here it is! The most updated list of my favorite Swedish bands, artists and musicians. I hope this will bring you all to love Sweden as much as I do. Have any other Swedish artists to recommend? Sweden seems to breed so many great ones already, I can’t wait to see how many more emerge in 2010!

I’m speachless. This is new Sufjan. Yes I said NEW Sufjan live from Ithaca, NY recently. It’s hard to even recognize this as the Sufjan we last heard four years ago. Nonetheless, exciting!

Grizzly Bear: While You Wait for the Others by Meg

Really interesting video from Grizzly Bear’s latest single, While You Wait for the Others. Still the only track to receive a score of 10 on Pitchfork’s track reviews. I’m a huge fan of stop motion and fencing ensembles, so obviously this video pleases my eyes.

I’m constantly looking on Pitchfork for the “best new albums”. I was pleasantly surprised to see Wild Beasts new album Two Dancers on the list. I immediately gave it a listen and was hooked. It’s nice to see modern day glam-rock doing successfully. Their video for track 2 (Hooting & Howling) is phenomenal. Enjoy.

Thanks to Britticisms I just discovered a new artist/musician. Ernest Greene aka Washed Out makes some really great underground lo-fi bedroompop music and has an amazing blog full of the best photos (above). His music is definitely something that will be up and coming soon. Take a listen before everyone else beats you to it!

My good blogging friend Greg Enemy showed me this clip a while back. I think Lykke Li is amazing and she’s definitely one of my favorite artists right now. I’m pretty sure this video will make anyone like her 5x more…at least
